So, I found these little embroidery pouches at Target and, in my usual manner, decided to drop all other projects and start this immediately.

I decided I was going to do a Destiny themed one. At first, I didn’t think I would be able to fit an emblem in the design, but I found Rain of Ashes and, lo and behold, good ol’ Shaxx managed to fit. (Note: If you are trying to recreate an emblem with these bags, you should choose a design that is NOT full coverage. You will lose the corners just due to the fact that it’s a half-circle and the emblems are squares. So you should totally count out the pattern before starting.)

So I didn’t know how stitching would go, but I have to say it was super easy. I had to frog some stitches and even that wasn’t a hassle.
I had originally used the loop method with six strands and the result was a very full square, but I thought that took away from some of the novelty of the project so I restarted with the loop method with three strands which is what I stuck with. (If you don’t use the loop method, you’ll want to use six strands.)

The one thing I will warn you is that if you want full coverage like this one, you will need a lot of thread, especially since I used 6-strands. I know I used 1.5 skeins of the red; so you’ll just want to plan accordingly.
If you can find these, I highly recommend them! They are super fun and a quick project!
Happy Crafting!
